Japan’s life expectancy is one of the highest in the world (â€Å"Countries: Japan,† 2015, para. 2b). Japan is healthy, but there are still health issues. As formerly one of the 194 countries that was a member of the World Health Organization, now the Japanese population relies on the Western Pacific Region Organizational branch of the World Health Organization for guidance and support when it comes to major health crisis that effect this otherwise healthy country. Some of the main health issues that the Western Pacific Region Organization has addressed to Japan is the issue of heavy alcohol consumption, leading to high-risk ailments such as alcohol-related Oesophageal cancer.
